The Marshalltown Central Business District is pleased to be accepting applications for the banner program that recognizes and honors those who are serving or have served in the United States Armed Forces.
The program is intended to recognize and show appreciation for veterans and military personnel and their families who have ties to Marshall County. Banners will be double sided and display a photo of the service person, as well as their name, branch, and dates of military service. They will be placed on decorative light poles throughout the Marshalltown Central Business District, the Viaducts leading into Downtown Marshalltown, and the 13th Street District between May through late October/early November 2024 around Memorial Day. Once removed the banner will be available to the applicant/family. There will be 124 banners, sold at $250 on a first come, first served basis as payments are received. Applications and payments must be received before February 1st, 2024. |
