Adopt A Veteran
Join in for the 21st annual Adopt a Veteran event. We want to help our servicemen and women who may not have a family to share Christmas with by taking their Christmas lists and having the community purchase those gifts.
Pick up a star from the participating businesses and organizations:
Collection containers are also at each location.
Please return the gift, in a bag, with the original star tag to the location you got it from by December 1st, 2022.
Each year we strive to brighten the lives of our service people at the Iowa Veterans Home. We ask the community to join us by picking out stars at each of the locations listed below, then returning the star & gift to the original location (in a gift bag) before December 1st. This year due to Covid, we will not be able to have our annual party, but the gifts, many of them simple will bring happiness to those who deserve so much more than we will ever be able to repay.
