Military Banner Program

What is the military banner program?

The Marshalltown Central Business District is pleased to be accepting applications for the banner program that recognizes and honors those who are serving or have served in the United States Armed Forces.

The program is intended to recognize and show appreciation for veterans and military personnel and their families who have ties to Marshalltown. Banners will be double sided and display a photo of the service person, as well as their name,  branch, and dates of military service. They will be placed on decorative light poles throughout the Marshalltown Central Business District and the Center Street Viaduct around Memorial Day and will remain until mid-summer for 2022 and 2023. There will be 86 banners, sold at $200. Applications and payments must be received before March 1st, 2022.
